I'd equate it to a flash light slowly dimming from dying batteries.

ChiTown 05-06-2014 09:29 PM

i want the team to not suck this half inning. All in favor?

C3HIEF3S 05-06-2014 09:30 PM

Sorry Melanie, you will not be winning $1,700 tonight.

I sacrificed my 10k post mojo on inning 4.

FML.

SPchief 05-06-2014 09:30 PM

SALVY!

Buck 05-06-2014 09:30 PM

Welp

C3HIEF3S 05-06-2014 09:30 PM

YES **** YES

MELANIE I LOVE YOU

Great Expectations 05-06-2014 09:30 PM

Whoa "Joey"

lewdog 05-06-2014 09:30 PM

Huh. That just seems weird.

petegz28 05-06-2014 09:31 PM

Salvy telling Fevery what he thinks of that "pitcher-friendly" park

gblowfish 05-06-2014 09:31 PM

What was that?
Is that legal? Is that allowed?
Hey Melanie....loan me $500 bucks...

I honestly think Fever is worse than Hud most of the time.

Great Expectations 05-06-2014 09:32 PM

Then Alice takes a flat 89 mph fastball over the middle of the plate?

Fever thinks a hanging curve ball is "well placed" whenever a Royale takes it for a strike.

C3HIEF3S 05-06-2014 09:34 PM

We have taken a commanding 2 home run lead over Jose Abreu

Gordon in the 5 spot has been a total fail this season. I'm ready for him to go back to the leadoff spot where he does good. Yeah, yeah, he has doubles but really he has been ineffective all season long.

Do you know how much easier it is for Jose to hit homers at home in Chicago early in the season? Not a fair comparison; the K is tough in April and May, just ask Guthrie.

He's a mental midget anywhere but the #1 spot. Weird but he needs to move back it seems.

If he could just stay healthy, he'd be a no doubt GG

Buck 05-06-2014 09:41 PM

I played baseball recently and I couldn't judge any flyball at all. It's pretty amazing what these guys can do at a full sprint while battling stadium lights.

gblowfish 05-06-2014 09:41 PM

That guy in the front row behind the ump just flashed his tits!

SPchief 05-06-2014 09:41 PM

Jesus ump

tk13 05-06-2014 09:41 PM

This team does get too caught up in the park thing... but San Diego is legitimately a pitcher's park. Although I think it was last year they finally moved the fences in. It's always been known as one of the worst parks for hitters. It's like the anti-Cincinnati.

petegz28 05-06-2014 09:42 PM

Ump putting on the squeeze a bit

Marine layer. Thick air.

SPchief 05-06-2014 09:42 PM

Outstanding game from Guthrie so far

Buck 05-06-2014 09:45 PM

I don't trust this pitcher past the 6th.

C3HIEF3S 05-06-2014 09:45 PM

Cain to the DL

Well, I will say, Guthrie's put more balls into play than Hosmer has tonight...

C3HIEF3S 05-06-2014 09:47 PM

The wind conditions and park are his best friends tonight for sure. Playing right into his game.

gblowfish 05-06-2014 09:48 PM

Frank Zappa warming up in the Pads bullpen...

Buck 05-06-2014 09:48 PM

That was a strike

stonedstooge 05-06-2014 09:49 PM

Ajoki

gblowfish 05-06-2014 09:49 PM

Aoki continues to do nothing with men on base. He's killing this offense right now.

SPchief 05-06-2014 09:50 PM

Up to Infante

Jesus please, not another 12 inning game tonight...

They are both very similar.

That's not a good thing.

Hope Guthrie can get through 8.

Time for Hosmer to see how hard he can swing at every pitch...

Sure:

Aoki: Leaving runners on base to die.
Infante: Ditto.
Hosmer: Struck himself out on ball four twice.
Perez: Solo homer in the sixth to tie the game. Won a chick $1700 in the Sonic Slam Inning.
Alice: Can't hit an off speed curve ball.
Valencia: Thinks he's Moose.
Cain: Tried to go back on the DL again, played good defense in Center.
Esky: Played good short tonight.
Guthrie: Popped out with bases loaded, game up a dinger, pitched OK, got a sac bunt down.

We can't score.
Neither can they.

It'll come down to bull pens again tonight.

The Padres bullpen has always been their strength. I would bet over the last 10-15 years, they have one of the best extra innings record.

Dating on a school night?

Where the **** are your parents?!

Buck 05-06-2014 10:06 PM

So does Perez always swing for the fences on every pitch, or only after he's homered?
