After that you target our 3rd CB all day long... |
3rd and 4.
Sutton puts the best pass rusher in the NFL in coverage. Inexcusable. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Gio blitz pickup <a href="https://t.co/eSDAEKOvDO">https://t.co/eSDAEKOvDO</a></p>— Joe Goodberry (@JoeGoodberry) <a href="https://twitter.com/JoeGoodberry/status/651044809390575616">October 5, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |

The fact that he has range is a good thing... EDIT: More importantly THAT is how a HB should pick up the blitz! |

How many times do we see Charles on the wrong side to pick up the blitz? |
Chiefs' defense is on its way to being historically bad

What do we gain by trying to disguise Houston's coverages/blitzes? He's the ****ing best. Turn him loose on LITERALLY every ****ing passing down. No bullshit. Every one. |
"Alex Smith making everyone around him historically bad".
|
It looks like to an outsider that Hali is turning the page from stud to average. Double Houston, Hali struggles to consistently win the 1 on 1's, Ford is a joke and the secondary wasn't the best in the league as some touted them.

Who gives a shit? If Jamaal is only averaging 3 YPC mid-game do you stop feeding him? No ****ing way. You keep calling his name until he busts it open. On 3rd downs and in the 4th quarter, Justin Houston NEEDS to be rushing the passer. The alternative isn't worthwhile. |
Sutton has made some head scratching decisions, but at some point in time the players need to tackle, not get blown off the LOS and actually cover a WR.

Now that Smith is back we'll be better as he gets his feet under him again. Peters is a future stud but a rookie with 4 games of experience right now. Gaines is hurt and we have no CB behind our starting 2 that isn't trash. A lot was working against us the first 4 weeks. Also to consider is that few teams have the WR/QB combo to test every part of this secondary like the Bengals, Donks, or Packers. This week things look up. Chicago's D is dog$3it, Cutler loves to turn the ball over, and every WR they have is banged up... |

"I believed". |
We've got the Lions, who suck, as well as Baltimore and Cleveland. 2 of those 3 are road games.
I can't imagine we're a 3-4 win team, but damn we sure are looking closer to that than I would have believed until Smith turned midnight and Cassel returned. |

all I need is a solid 10-14 seconds in the pocket and 5 superstars, and I'm pretty sure I could get it done. |
