He was ill. Facing amputations from illness, and pretty much posted his goodbyes as his life was about to drastically change for the worse. I was grateful for the opportunity to say my peace with him. We disagreed about things, but that's life. I was happy to be able to tell him that I wished him nothing but the best, was saddened to learn these things were happening and essentially no hard feelings. Rough deal for him.
