Holy shit, more breaks than volleyball.

For all the shitting I've done on Google Fiber, I found something cool, and that's the ability to make a "2016 Olympics" guide that provides me with a view of just the channels that will carry the Olympics. I say that to say the good news is that it's allowed me to avoid the incessant commercials, the bad news is that I've seen few events start-to-finish.

The commercials are playing a big role in this Olympics being somewhat difficult to watch.

wow horrible crash, well the gold medal in the road race is now Team USA's to lose. 10km left and she's WAY ahead.

The American was cautious in 2nd place on rain-slick roads trying to stay safe and lock up a medal. The Dutch girl recklessly took the lead downhill in the rain and tried to put it away, and now she's done.

That chick could be dead. She bit it hard.

So after some quick rugby research it's just two seven minute halves. That's quick but apparently this is not the normal rules. Normal rules are 15 on 15 for two forty minute halves as opposed to this shortened game with 7 on 7. That's why they can play twice on the same day.
