Charles won't make the Hall. The Hall clearly values longevity over all and he clearly doesn't have that. Like many others, he was a bright star that burned out semi-quickly.

He's as talented as any RB I've ever seen, though, that's for sure.

This is truly a sad day. That's all I got. Hope he can come back at the end and have a great finish.

Maybe I'm being too naive or overly optimistic but IF he can play next year, I think he restructures and stays with the Chiefs. I think he is like Tamba and DJ in his love of KC.

If not and he wants too much money, then sadly he will be gone and I won't be mad just disappointed.

Highly doubtful JC comes back in his year 31 season and plays for $2M.

I see Charles probably riding off in the sunset somewhere back home with the Texans.

Both knees are a problem, hard to rehab one if the other hurts too, I think that was a big deal when TD started breaking down.

I don't see him back this year which means they are not going to want to pay his contract next year in a backup role so he is sadly done as a chief. I would be surprised if he kept trying to play. He needs a boat load of time just to get right.

If it were only one knee I could see him coming back maybe even later this year. 2 knees is kiss of death.

I wish that they had figured this out weeks ago. If Jamaal comes back, it's not going to be before week 16. It sure would've been nice to have him for the last 4-5 games of the season.

Jamaal doesn't have to adjust to an NFL pace. The NFL has to adjust to a Jamaal Charles pace.
