You realize what they did with Wylie too right?

They gave him the 4-year qualifying player veteran salary benefit so he gets a little more change in his pocket for this year but counts towards the cap at the vet min too.

So both players are counting roughly 1.1 million this year.

If you don't like Christian, I get it, but you're not providing any reasonable argument whatsoever.

You realize Christian has started in this league, correct?
You realize Christian never sucked at the level Wylie is sucking right now, correct?

So what, exactly, is your argument?

Not sure he has one, other than Wylie is trying his best and we're being super mean. :p

Wylie ****ing blows goats.

I'm sure he's a super nice guy, and tries really hard.

But he's really bad at offensive tackle. He's below average at guard. He's not an NFL quality player.

He's shitty. I bet he'll be a great coach someday, he just doesn't have the physical ability.

There are at least two other guys, based on small sample sizes, that I'd rather see in there at RT not counting Niang, who if healthy is a significant upgrade.

He blows. Goats. I have photographic evidence.

As I've said numerous times in this thread, there's no excuse for leaving him in at this point other than Reid has a soft spot for him. He's been here for years and probably works really hard in practice and Andy likes him.

Dare I say, he's got a huge titanium lunch pail he brings to work every day. The thing is enormous and he eats liverwurst sandwiches out of it. He hauls it in wearing the bluest collared shirt that has ever been known to man, a shade of blue so tough it pierces the eyes. When it boils down to it, though, the second the team goat comes out of the barn he's their blowing it as you said. Can't keep his mouth off that goat's privates.

The reason they're leaving him is because they don't want to play Christian or Prince at RT, for whatever reason. I'm not going to sit here and say it's 100% favoritism. It's entirely possible that both of them suck on the right side and wouldn't be an upgrade.

And they've already got a starter in Niang. As soon as he's ready, Wylie will go back to the bench where he belongs. Have some faith.

I'm sure, in all seriousness, he's a great guy, seems like a good teammate, looks like he's trying hard. You have to separate the person from the game and their place in it. His place is on the bench, or coaching high school football. Not on an offensive line in front of Patrick Mahomes.

As a player, he blows goats.

I think they feel either Christian or Prince has a place at LT. They're both young, mostly unproven, players that have been working on the LT footwork. To throw them in the fire at RT might set back their progress.

Plenty of faith here, mostly just joking at this point.

I do wonder why they would feel the need to have both Christian and Prince focus on LT, that seems odd unless they are covering their asses in case Brown leaves next year. I'm sure Christian will come back dirt cheap.

jettio 11-04-2022 02:44 PM

Niang is going to far exceed the expectations of the chiefs planet crowd that knows not shit about tackle football as it is played in the National Football League.

Andrew Wylie will not get the credit he deserves from the chiefs planet crowd that knows not shit about tackle football as it is played in the National Football League.

The chiefs planet crowd that knows not shit about tackle football as it is played in the National Football League apparently does not watch NCAA football and know that nearly all the schools have nearly all of the O-lineman wear knee braces all the time to prevent injuries.

The may view Prince as a LT backup and want to keep developing.

And it's entirely possible they don't want to put Christian at RT because they view him as the replacement for Brown short-term if they can't get a deal done.

If this is the case, I'm totally cool with that. Seems very possible now that it has been mentioned, wasn't something I was considering.
