Second, I know the secret to avoiding the kind of irritation that you describe, but it takes a bit of self awareness and self control. For example, when R8ers started this thread, I read the first dozen or so posts and decided (a) I wasn't interested in answering his question and (b) I wasn't very interested in hearing a discussion of the pros and cons of debt free living. I left the thread and didn't come back until it was necessary to see why Dane left.

It seems like a massive over-reaction to some run-of-the-mill name calling to me. I can only assume that you turned on your ex-friend R8ers, after he gently encouraged you to stay out of it, out of a strange need to stay on Dane's good side, groupie-style.

No, my investigation conclusively ruled that out. There are numerous instances of insincere accusations of child molestation in ChiefsPlanet history. It's a standard arrow in the ChiefsPlanet verbal abuse quiver.

Um, Dane has never needed me or anybody else to fight his battles. The times I mentioned him were generally to point out the idiocy of a some noxious hick truck driver attempting to tell someone who is very wealthy how to manage his money. As for R8ers, I just got sick of his debt crusade shilling. He's been on this kick for a while now, it's way past old, and this wasn't the first time I suggested he give it a rest. He then got all chippy with me and proceeded to lie about what I said. The guy's a giant douche, and that has nothing to do with Dane or me.
