Admit it - you were going Te'o if he was there, weren't you?

It's okay, I was going to take him to San Diego for poops and grins if he slid that far.

You're ****ing right I was.

First 4 rounds for the Jags -

1. Sharrif Floyd, DT
2. Darius Slay, CB
3. Tyler Bray, QB
4. David Quessenberry, C/G

That's an ok four rounds. I was kind of hoping that Banks would have slid to the top of round 2.

I'd like to see if this guy can't bulk up a bit another 10 lbs or so. He's listed as 255, but that number is very low from what he's played at in past seasons. (270s). He could very well be the answer at that final DE spot to make our 1-gap defense a serious reality.

If not, he'll make a fine piece of depth at Tamba Hali's back up spot. Finally, Tamba can go get caught smoking weed and the Chiefs won't have to worry about his replacement.

This probably isn't even close to DJ's pick that he really likes, but this is the player that I really like, so screw it. I'm taking him.

The Chiefs select John Simon, DE/OLB, Ohio State

SNapist, Did Tamba really miss a game for smoking pot or is that just rumor, speculation and innuendo?

I just made it up. He's never been busted for weed.

I forgot what he was suspended for earlier this season, but we would have known if it were weed.

Raiders help bolster their defensive backfield.

Oakland Raiders select Leon McFadden, CB, San Diego State

As far as I know an official reason was never made public. However, I don't know much.:)

So, Philly has SO many needs as they transition their defense and build this team in a manner Chip Kelly wants it done in. There are some guys that are still on the board in round 4 that would probably provide a more meaningful contribution right out of the gate.

But that's not how you win championships necessarily. You have to have a guy that you know can lead your team. I'm not sure there is a single QB on the roster that you can say that about. But I think there is a guy available right now that Chip Kelly could mentor over the next year or two that could pan out to be this year's Kap, or DangeRussWilson.

The Philadelphia Eagles select Matt Scott QB Arizona

Let the debate begin.

Should I PM you, or just tell you that you're up? :)

The John Simon pick is really interesting. I love how hard he plays, but I'm not crazy about his measurables.

The idea that Simon would potentially play DE in our system is high-larious, however. He's obviously an OLB.

That said, I would consider this pick a reach by about a round, but I like Simon a lot personally.

John Simon's not going in the 5th round. THAT'S high-larious.

Thank you, Mr. Floppy.

The Minnesota Vikings select with their first pick in the fourth round Kiko Alonso, LB, Oregon.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

{starts cutting self}

I was really really excited about that guy. It's damn hard to find an aggressive ILB that also has a little pass-rush technique. He was possibly my favorite ILB in the draft, especially in the late rounds.

He's the guy SNR should've taken, IMO. He'd have provided some much-needed help as an interior blitzer alongside DJ.

Then let somebody else take him.

Better than burning a 4th on somebody who'll need to gain 30 pounds to play the position you want him to play.
