This team is soft because he is soft. Yost does goofy shit during games and has habits that hurt the team. He puts several things ahead of winning in terms of impotence.

Yes and it makes little sense. Major leaguers learn to make adjustments if they themselves are good players. If they can't make the adjustment, they shouldn't be on the roster and likely won't stay in the show very long. The manager determines everyday lineups and pitching changes. He has very little effect on how a player performs at the plate. I have no idea why that is so hard to understand?

But then again, I've been stating this same argument on this board for the past two years. If we aren't very good, it's the players who aren't good. If we start winning, it's the players who are good.

SIMPLE.

What are your feelings on hitting coaches? :D

I think they would have made it has they not fired Kevin Seitzer. I also think they would have a much better record this year had they not ever fired Seitzer. It looks like the finally righted the ship now after a season and a half of what appears to be a self made problem in firing a good hitting coach and bringing in shitty ones until now.

Possibly. But the replaced something that wasn't really broken to being with and it took 18 months to repair it.

Didn't they actually score less runs per game last year with George/Pedro then with Maloof and the other guy?

And good job completely having no point. You think Ned should get fired at the end of the season if this team makes the playoffs?

I think it's been said around here before that out of all pro sports leagues, the "baseball manager" has the least amount of influence on a game or team.

Honestly, a good pro baseball team could play games without a manager and still win.

If the Royals make the postseason this year there is a zero percent chance of Ned being fired. That's unheard of.. and ridiculous.

You want to know what will happen to Ned if we make postseason?

What other manager in the majors can give themselves a wedgie during the national anthem before a game?

Except when Yost leaves a pitcher in 4 or 5 batters too long...

I feel like Yost has been pretty good with pitchers. It's his old-school handling of line-ups and getting "productive outs" that drives me up a wall.
