There's continuing discussion over whether players cut prior to 8/4 have thier dead cap number count against the cap for 2011. Anyone know?

Rumor is BB may not have been pleased that Tiny (Warren's nickname) took the offseason conditioning program off last season so he could get his degree, then needed surgery too late to recover in time to play last season, then showed up out of shape this year. All that combined could suggest a lack of focus on making football a very high priority, which is a no-no with BB.

:shrug:

Still. I am disappointed.

I ****ing hate players who lose focus during the off-season by wanting to pursue their education and better themselves.

What number do you think Warren will want?

Yeah right. Revis is going to restructure/lower his contract to bring in a higher paid CB. That is not going to happen. No way. Lombardi needs to remember that Revis held out to be the highest paid CB this last offseason.

They cut a bunch of guys prior to the lockout commencing, all of which apparently "disappeared" for cap purposes. No dead cap space carryover to this year.

Free agent ILB Channing Crowder reportedly "loves" Bills defensive coordinator George Edwards.
It's interesting to note that ex-Bills LB Kawika Mitchell tweeted Friday, "Buffalo. You have a new LB heading your way. That's my guess," in reference to Crowder. Edwards was Crowder's position coach in Miami from 2005 through 2009, and also coached at Florida (Crowder's alma mater). The Bills have a need at inside 'backer.
