This sucks. Michigan State can lose 7 games and get a #1 seed, but Mizzou can only lose 3?

Totally off topic, but has anyone seen Pat Riley lately. Watching an interview with him on ESPN, and he looks exactly like the Dos Equis Most Interesting Man in the World. It's bizarre.

What potential 1 seed does Mizzou match up best against? I can't decide.

UK, Cuse, UNC, MSU, or OSU? We can't be in ku's bracket.

I thought that conference thing was only for the first few rounds.

I think Syracuse. Cuse likes to trap out of their zone and Mizzou is too quick. I would think with your 3 point shooters you would have no trouble scoring against their zone.

A Carolina-Mizzou game would be very entertaining.

I would say OSU or MSU. Neither of them are legit #1 seed teams. They may get the #1, but they are more of a low 2 or high 3 in terms of overall quality.

Syracuse reminds me of KSU. I think they are the WORST matchup for Mizzou.

I think they avoid a 1-2 in the same bracket from the same conference if they can. Doesn't mean it can't happen.

You're right though they don't want a 1 or 2 playing a conference rival in the second round or even the Sweet 16.

Gotcha. That makes sense. I guess what I was thinking of was for teams from the same conf regardless of seed.

Suck it, MUron.

I must admit... I still really, really dislike MU. And I'm not one to talk shit over an internet message board.

But, it's tough for me to really dislike any particular individual on their team or their head coach.

Now, I'm going to go cleanse myself.

Bracketology has MU as the 2 seed in the Midwest right now.

They are trying to set up an invitational tournament similar to the CBE there.

We'll see if they have any luck. It's not going to happen for 2012, but I'm guessing by 2013 they have the framework in place and by 2014 they're playing games there again.

We shall see...

Agreed.

Gimme North Carolina. They're just arrogant enough to try to run with Mizzou and let Mizzou play its own game.

In Kentucky's bracket.

Meanwhile Kansas gets to slum with Michigan St.

Every. Damn. Year...
