DL.

Take your CBs and shove them up your ass, DeezNutz.

True, the Giants have a dominant 3-4 defensive front, loaded with pass rushers.

Do you put DJ back in the MLB slot in the 4-3? Or do you move him to WOLB?

We need interior pass rushers in the worst way. THE WORST.

tk13 needs to get in here and talk down cornerbacks.

I like him as the Sam, to be honest.

I think he can hang with TEs and he's never been much of a pass rusher. DJ has gotten a hell of a lot thicker as he's matured and he's very smart in coverage. His strength will allow him to fend off the TE in run support while his athleticism and experience as the MLB in this scheme will make him capable in coverage as well.

Though with the present personnel, we would have such a glaring hole at MLB that we'd almost have to leave him there. I just think he's probably best suited for the strong side these days.

Oh, this is excellent. Almost as if ghost written by Hamas Jenkins.

Only two teams in the last 10 years have selected a non-quarterback first overall. Houston took Mario Williams in 2006 and Miami took Jake Long in 2008. Both of these players were everything these franchises could have hoped for in a number one pick. They both made All-Pro teams and have been considered amongst the league's best at their respective positions.

Yet it is possible that neither one will earn a second contract with their team. They have one combined playoff appearance amongst them, during Long's rookie year (Houston made the playoffs last year with Williams going on IR midway through last season). Despite his individual success, the Houston defense continued to be terrible after Williams was drafted. By the time it was good, they deemed him expendable. Long is facing a similar situation - he's a free agent after this season, but is having his worst year as a pro.

Any relevance and improvement the Dolphins have going forward is going to be completely tied to Ryan Tannehill. A quarterback selected in the first-round.

We need a Suh to kick some balls.

This. He's a coverage backer.

There's no way DJ should be moved away from MLB, especially if we hire Kiffin.

He's ideal for the 4-3 MLB Cover 2 drops.

DumbHillbillies 11-30-2012 02:44 PM

I mean I guess

I'm great with this. Where are we picking them, though? If we're in the top half of the first taking interior linemen, we're dumb as ****. Latter half of the first round? Fine. No problem.

If we switch to a cover 2, he's probably best left in the middle, yes.

That said - who the hell thinks we're actually going to hire Kiffin? C'mon folks, he's following Gruden and Gruden ain't coming to KC.

Oh, and the Cover 2 sucks dicks, so I really don't want to go that route.

I agree that he's the best option we have available for the MLB in a 4-3, but he's still better suited for Sam than Mike, IMO. He's not a sure enough tackler and just not stout enough against blockers for me to like him as a permanent MLB.

So you're telling me you DON'T want a player like JJ Watt?

We're probably going to be picking around 16 next year anyway.

We're hiring Kiffin now?

DeezNutz is the new chiefzilla

Hammock Parties 11-30-2012 02:50 PM

If we're in the market for Gruden, Kiffin is coming here. Accept it.
