Agreed.

Gimme North Carolina. They're just arrogant enough to try to run with Mizzou and let Mizzou play its own game.

This. Although Beaker fans told me I was nuts.

I'm going to go ahead and predict that Pressey averages 14 PPG next season. After watching the replay of the game, he's got it all under control.

Early in the season, he would only drive and dump. It worked incredibly well, but conference teams got wise to it, and he fell off for a long stretch. Now, he's finishing when nobody helps, he's dishing when they do, and he's hitting enough open jumpers to punish teams for playing off him.

I'm glad he's on our side, and we've got him for 2+ more years.

Meanwhile Kansas gets to slum with Michigan St.

Every. Damn. Year...

No one said it was going to be easy. If they make it that far, in front of a friendly crowd in STL I think they can pull it off. Yesterday gave me more hope than anything. Playing beat up we still handled Baylor. After a few days of rest I think we're set up for a nice tourney.

Was at the game yesterday. MU dominated from start to finish. I was hoping for a little more interesting of a game, but the Tigers came out hot and didn't look back. There were probably two dozen Baylor fans in the stands. At least it seemed that way.

Congrats on a good season.

You are again fixated on W/L record. Schedule matters more.

We met the team at the arena yesterday (beat them back up I-70) and noticed that Denmon still had a little bit of a limp.

Good thing we have a few days off and hopefully a nice 1st round matchup; we're probably going to need the rest.

Hardly. The B1G is overrated as hell.

I know you Beakers have to say it isn't because your 'big' win this year was against a Sullingerless Ohio State - but the B1G is just a bunch of muckers beating the shit out of each other and losing to any skilled team they play. Just like last year, and the year before that, and the year before that, on into time indeterminate.

A 7-loss MSU team getting a 1 seed over a 30 win Mizzou team is just absurd.

But it's going to happen because old guys love them some Big Ten shitfests.

So if we'd have scheduled Duke and Kentucky and lost to both of them, we'd be 28-6 and a 1 seed.

Mizzou is 11-3 vs. RPI top-50; UNC is 8-4; OSU is 9-5; MSU is 10-5; KU is 11-5.

It's not. It's by far the best conference by any statistical metric. Even their mediocre teams that didn't make it were quite decent (in comparison to the OSU and A&M's of the B12).

No, what's absurd would be doing it a different way and giving it to a 30 win team that doesn't have the big wins. It's very much the same principle for not giving Murray State a high seed based solely on their record.

No, you'd still be behind those B10 teams and KU without actually winning a big non-conference game, but it would have helped the RPI.
