What was the point of cutting a player, that you have to pay in full and take a huge salary cap hit, to make the local media happy? You could have very well benched him like Al did Marcus Allen and dumped him in the off season.

We had the cap room, I believe, and neither party (player or organization) was happy with him here. We pay him to sit or we pay him to play somewhere else. Either way, he's not doing us any good. With him gone, that's less negative publicity he brings to the team. He wants to bring on legal troubles, let him do so in Cinci. Good riddance.
