Sure it might make you feel good, but in the end it don't matter.

Fitzpatrick hadn't been released and he's awful. Jason Campbell? Dude, how are you going to sell a fan base on two completely awful QB's when you've just finished your 5th losing season out of the past 6th with either of those stiffs as the starting QB?

As for the draft, everyone has stated ad nauseam that it was a bad year for QB's. Barkley hasn't even thrown for pro scouts yet. Geno, while the best in his class, is "meh". By all accounts, there is not one single immediate franchise changing QB in this draft.

The Chiefs could not afford to go into the 2013 season with Geno Smith and Ricky Stanzi. After the first two games, no one would show up at Arrowhead.

As in you can stop clicking on the threads that aren't all rainbows and unicorns so you can try to "educate" all us that aren't happy with the shit trade for Alex Smith.

If you're getting tired of hearing us bitch, it's nobody's fault but yours.

The problem is the Alex smith conversations/fights make it into almost very thread lately, ncluding "Chiefs sign Sean Smith". It's inescapable right now.

Just like Alex Smith.

Cassel has had more success in the NFL than Alex Smith, unfortunately for you.

Two winning seasons > 1.5 winning seasons.

This is where you just look petty and uninformed. While you have many valid points, Alex Smith won a couple of playoff games, Cassell did not. So, enough with the Cassell is just as "talented" as AS. Alex, while not a hall of famer, is much better than casshole. He at least has guts and can win a playoff game or two. That's way more than Matty boy.

They sold the fanbase on Matt Cassel. They have now sold the fanbase on Alex Smith. They could, literally, sell this fanbase on anyone that they want to.

Dane, I know you haven't watched Geno play, so I know there's not much point in getting into that. Even so, obviously the tide is turning with him after the combine and his pro day. He's being talked about by basically everyone as a possibility at #2 or #3 now. So he would have been an option had they not gone for Alex Smith. All they had to do was find another veteran to "mentor" him. And it didn't have to be Fitzpatrick or Campbell, they could've looked for an equivalent (to Alex Smith) backup that a team would be willing to part with for a middle round pick. That would not have been a hard sell to this fanbase. At all.

(The point I'm making is not "draft Geno" so much as that there were other alternatives than what they did; I think the idea that this offseason was "alex smith or bust" is short-sighted.)

Simmons took some shots at ESPN after Richard Sherman went on First Take. Told people not to watch the show and said that everyone involved, including ESPN, loses

I guess I can't post links yet but you can google it

Wow, there you go again. OT would of neve happened with Cassel. Matty folded in the 1st qtr of out only playoff game with him at the helm. We didn't even have a chance.

Alex Smith won exactly ONE playoff game.

Outside of that, his success is identical to Cassel's...and perhaps less so, since he's never even had 20 TDs.

Cassel has done that twice.

If anyone is uninformed, it's you.
