While I agree that he was not good in this game, he has had some good moments this year. Hell, Yesef struggled and looked terrible earlier this season. And now you guys are saying he should be the backup PG. While I don't disagree at this point in time, I think Pettiford will end up being the backup.

Mizzouche players looked like chunkers to me, outside Shaw who looks like a KU athlete. looked like guys you’d play at a neighborhood pickup game

Didn't catch the game (I'm just that obsessed), but figured it would just be another December scrimmage.

Looks like a lot of people were in the arena... were they just waiting for wrestling to start, given how unimportant basketball is these days?

Ignoring facts seems to be your M.O. when it comes to MU or KU. You include the ones you like, and skip the ones you don't.

Context makes your argument for the current state of KU football null and void.

MU got some patsies to end the year and squeaked into a bowl game. KU qualified early, and even with devastating injuries to key players was still competitive in most games, including against the 3rd ranked team in the nation.

I posted facts. Records are facts. Winning streaks and losing streaks are facts. You posted conjecture; ‘well, injuries’ or ‘well, those games were a lot closer than they looked by the final score’, etc.

I get why you don’t want to acknowledge facts and choose to go with conjecture.

Mizzou closed out their SEC schedule with South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee and Arkansas. They went 2-2 in those games. Could have easily been 3-1 but I won’t make excuses like you were. A loss is a loss.

And if those are all patsies, then I’m sure Kansas will have no problem beating Arkansas soundly in the Liberty Bowl. We’ll come back to this in a few weeks.

KU would have no issue beating MU, but we'll never know for sure because MU was too afraid to play them.

Spoken like a true fan of the ultimate coward himself, Bill Self.

But being as you believe that and Mizzou already beat Arkansas and they are a ‘patsie’ (according to LR), then you guys should have no issue Molly whopping the Razorbacks in a few weeks. We’ll come back to this . . . . .

This is obviously the conjecture that leads to needing more information...

...such as losing your starting QB for several games. Saying the team that started 5-0 seems to be trending downward is not a "fact", because it's clearly not the same team.

Pretend Mahomes got hurt halfway through the 2018 season, nobody would say it seems as if the Chiefs were trending back down to Alex Smith days. Well, you technically could, but you'd be ****ing reeruned.

FACTS

If this type of pathetic trash talk from both sides going forward, I’m happy my cancer has come back.

This thread is more pathetic than Missouri basketball and Kansas football combined.. If you are going to argue which young boys make you the happiest, at least do better shit talking.

Doesn't matter if KU beats Arkansas. The only thing that matters is that KU would have beaten MU, but they were scared. So scared that the AD and head coach of the program had to go into damage control and tweet out that they weren't scared.

Bearcat 12-11-2022 11:13 AM

It's great how we're arguing about football superiority by talking about a common opponent who lost to Liberty (and was down 21-0).

Sorry if my comment about KU losing 6 of their last 7 games, mostly by large margins, was not indicative of them trending downward to close the season.

I withdraw my previous statement.

KU was rolling . . . . . . just ran into some bad luck.

Oh, it matters. Especially since Mizzou already beat them and they’re nothing but a “patsie”, per your fellow KU fan. If you’re so sure of the victory over Mizzou (which being that you lost 6 out of the last 7, I can see why you would be) then you all beating Arkansas should be a cakewalk.

We’ll see how this plays out . . . . . .

Bearcat 12-11-2022 11:49 AM

Why are we using a team that lost to Liberty as the bar for P5 bottom feeder to be better than a school that cares deeply about football and is disappointed with .500 seasons?
