Unless Austin is BPA with out second round pick, I wouldnt pick him as we already have enough weapons as it is, especially if wé keep Bowe and Boss.

Austin does possess something that we don't have in the wr corps and that's speed. Baldwin and Bowe are big physical wrs and DMC is not nearly the playmaker that Austin is.

yea, but we do have a need for more speed at WR

we also need a free safety, a MLB(R.I.P) and a cornerback

Austin with a nice adjustment on the poor pass

WildTurkey 12-01-2012 02:59 PM

Nice arm strength on that one and excellent adjustment by Austin to make the catch

Hammock Parties 12-01-2012 03:00 PM

Nice ball. Needed to be thrown sooner though.

Not a Terrible pass.. He can't throw into coverage like that at the next level though

Chocolate pain unleashing the laser on the TD pass

KU safety was clueless, he should of been there on that throw.

late and behind a WR down the middle of the field generally gets blown up in the NFL

yeah. I wish I could see our chiefs team do this little bit though. sometimes guys are not wide open and you just have to throw it up and let your wide receiver make a play

Oh I agree he can't make that throw on Sundays. His timing was off and perhaps he's a little cocky facing that KU defense. He did follow it with a laser for a TD though so he made up for it

Yep, TD slant/cross pass was sharp

okay I've come to the conclusion I don't care if we need CB more than wide receiver. If Tavon Austin is there in a second and assuming we took Geno in the first, I would love to see that combination.

There is not a CB or a DL in the draft more valuable than a guy like Tavon Austin.

yep

Bowe and Baldwin on the outside
DMC and Austin in the slots
Geno Smith under center
Charles in single back set

sounds like a pretty dangerous passing set to me
