This seems like as a good as place as any to put this.

I've been on TRT for about a year and half now, and about the last 6 months I've had horrible acne breakouts on my shoulders. So much that I can't wear sleeveless shirts. I had really bad acne as a teen, but accutane pretty much ended that when I was 21. So much that I can't wear sleevless shirts. I've tried antibiotics and high priced creams and nothing. So after some research I try high doses (10 grams/day) Pantothenic Acid/B5 and after 2 weeks it's almost all cleared up.

So a big **** you to big pharma/dermatologist for prescribing and recommending high priced crap and ofter more dangerous stuff like (accutane) when you can get something OTC that works better then anything else I've ever tried and has 0 sides! I wonder how many teenage kids hate going to school everyday and that have to apply worthless creams when there is a cheap/apparent safe/ and very effective alternative that you can pick up at GNC or any online supp store.

I'm just dead after today. My thumb is so tired after playing 360 all day. I'm gonna get the ice pack.

We're of similar size. I'm 5'10 around 145. I put up 235 on the bench the other day, which is the most I've ever done. It was on the weight rack at Planet Fitness (not the free weight) though so I'm not sure what I'd be able to do normally. Either way, I'm getting stronger and that's encouraging.

I'm just doing my thing. Had to reset because of a dislocated shoulder, and I can't do squats anymore. Doc diagnosed me with a Pars defect (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spondylolysis) so, I can't be loading up my back with more than about 225 lbs or so. Doing so can cause me to slip forward (which I can't do much about, considering there's part of my spine missing) and injure myself.

But what I can do is bulgarian weighted split squats, so I'm working my way up to 225 single-leg squat. And I can still do deadlifts, so, yay for that.

My wife has that. She had enough pain she had to get epidurals.

I can see why. Sucks.

I should've started doing legs along time ago. I didn't realize how fast your maxes could go up.

well this thread has died...

another madcow workout in the books tonight

did great on bench tonight, however my squat seems stalled out. my legs don't seem to be recovering. i skipped quite a few squat workouts lately and even just took a week off from them, but tonight they just didn't seem strong, which would kind of surprise me if they're overtrained since i was squatting 1-2 times heavy per week before this program. Any suggestions? I'm doing the intermediate version

Silock 04-22-2012 01:32 AM

Have you tried the advanced template?

My back is still not perfect after almost 5 freaking months! It does feel a lot better, though.

I'm about to start doing TRX/Kettlebell small group sessions at my gym with one of the trainers. I'll continue to do my regular weight routine + running + cycling.

Let's get this thread going again. What are the rest of you guys doing?

Our God damn bodies hate us, Omaha! Back injuries take a while so keep being smart, even after it feels 100% don't push yourself right away.

I am still plugging away at 5/3/1. Hip bothers me off and on so I am taking things slow to avoid injury and still working on getting back up to 405 dead, 350 squat and 300 bench. Weight has been holding steady though and I am leaner at 190 than I normally am.

I am moving to Phoenix in 3 weeks and I am hoping to find a gym where I could Olympic Lift. I wonder if a Crossfit gym would let me join just to Olympic lift but not take part in their workouts?
