when i was but a wee child of 6 or 7 i had a problem with an older boy bullying me...

after a few months of harassment, i got tired of it...

i lived in a house next to a church that had a walkway around the church, which came out right by my house...

so one day, i hid behind the corner of the church and when my tormentor walked by the corner i nailed him with a brick...

needless to say, the other grade school bullies left me pretty much alone after that...

Did anybody ask if she deserved it?

Depending on exact circumstances, if my daughter told my wife (the Mom too, btw) to shut up, I just might slap her across the face too. Frankly, if more parents smacked their kids when they act like punks, we'd have a lot less punks, and it would likely be a 1 time occurance for their whole damn life.

The fact you think it is ok to strike your children in the face is your own issue.

Care to share with us a time when it is legally or morally ok for mom's boyfriend to strike mom's little girl across the face?

On the backside when we were little. No child was ever struck in the face in my house. If anyone other than my parents had struck me or my siblings there would have been serious repercussions.
