Why do people keep saying things like this? That was the same exact play that Alex threw the TD to Hill last week. It was a designed play to get Hill open or at least one on one.

I do feel better that if we have to play Foles next week it will be at home against the Jags. Ware is the one I am worried about at this point. Smith will be back if not next week, then the week after.

I know chiefs fans that would rather go 9-7 and playoff hope vs drafting a QB and building a long term championship team. There's a comfort level is mediocrity...

That's a dishonest stat.

Grbac and Bono sure piled on the wins too. The question is whether or not you have a QB that can win in January. I don't think Smith is that guy.

Yeah, I mean he got us to the playoffs 2 of the last 3 seasons, won us one of them games last year, was a ****ed up punt return away from the SB in SF, yeah, I mean he sucks and can't win.

Not only does it not make any sense, it's silly. There's been zero quarterback controversy aside from a handful of random, irrelevant people here. There wasn't anything to avoid. Smith cleared concussion protocol (given by a neutral league doctor) and was put back in the game. It's not any more complicated than that. If the starter is cleared to play, he's going back in.

The stupidity came when he ran the ball again. Which I'm assuming/hoping was not the play called.

I don't know that it had anything to do with the play call. Probably had more to do with Alex didn't find anyone open and chose to run it. He needs to learn to get down sooner.
