It’ll be pretty much the same team next year. Don’t expect a significant improvement.

Obviously something needs to change on that front. He gets paid a lot of money to figure it out so hopefully he will next year. Another constant problem for his teams is that they continue to not value possession of the basketball. So many turnovers year after year. We give our opponents too many extra possessions.

KU has given up...they wont even chase free loose balls.

Our biggest problem is we can't shoot, most of Selfs teams have the same issue.

I can see it in Self's eyes....he's thinking of a jump to the NBA.

In the grand scheme of things, how a conference does in a single game elimination tournament has very little statistical significance.

We'll still probably lose by double figures, but I like how they're playing in the second half. It's just too bad whatever message or adjustment that was made at halftime couldn't have been made at one of the 3 timeouts Self called or one of the 4 media timeouts. I think thats been the most frustrating thing about this team.

He is a fan of math though. His philosophy has always been to prioritize stopping post points which are higher percentage shots. The problem is that college ball is looking more and more the way the NBA now is with a greater emphasis on the 3 point shot. His philosophy needs to evolve but old (successful) dogs don't like doing new tricks.
