Seems like a pretty big hole in the WAR stat.

We are only talking WINS not whole season... so 20% of 85 wins is 17 (example)... but not a 17 variance from 85. 85 being the mean. So, 8.5 swing in either direction. Still a significant swing but not 32 like you implied. I think it's closer to 90% rather than 80%, so it's a little more accurate at an 8.5 Win variance - 4.25 swing in either direction. Now it's looking much more accurate.
