KU's problems are what I outlined in my post to Bearcat.....you have TT who you never know which version is going to show up, just like we have with Dixon. Elijah Johnson can have a great game then a lame game. It doesn't take much to get inside Withey's head....just look at what English did to him, or even Baylor.

I see as many areas of need in KU as I do MU.

How well KU plays really comes down to how well TRob and Tyshawn play. They're the two best players on the team and two of the best players in the NCAA. If you can knock one of them out of a game for a period, it would obviously hurt. He's learned to avoid that over the course of this season, though.

ESPN has loved Baylor all year... they talk about KU and MU plenty, but it seemed to take them most of the conference season to figure out they might be soft and poorly coached.

Mizzou has senior leadership and great guard play. Those are two very important ingredients to a great tourney run, and a reason to get excited for Tigers fans.

There are more KU fans posting in here than in the KU basketball thread....interesting.

I'm a basketball fan. Basketball is being discussed in this thread, not the other one. I fail to see the problem.

Don't see a problem at all KCC. Just thought it was interesting that there is more talk about Mizzou bball this afternoon than KU. Just an observation.

For a team that won one of the best conferences in the nation by two games and finished the season 9-1, KU hasn't been getting much pub. over the last few days (seemingly because of the Baylor loss).

Honestly, maybe it's better that way for them. It's not like having all the press in the world the last two years helped at all. They didn't get much in the championship year either, ESPN was all over UNC and Memphis.

Unfortunately, for anyone who likes it when teams score more than 50 points, there are so many Big 10 teams and other teams that grind it out, it's almost unavoidable that a team will be tested in an ugly game.

I've seen the B1G all this season and outside of OSU and MSU I'm not impressed....plus when it comes to tourney time they usually struggle when they don't get to bang inside like they are used to doing.

The committee tries to give the top 4 seeds an advantage in terms of geography, but it doesn't work perfectly according to the S-curve every time. If a choice comes down to having two top seed fanbases having to travel extensively or just one fanbase, they could opt for just one, like shipping UNC out to Phoenix.

How am I putting words in your mouth? It appeared you questioned MU being the last 1 if they were a 1 at all, I was responding to that, I guess that's not what you were implying. I don't think they will be a 1 either, neither will KU. Just my opinion, I don't know this. (Thought I'd save you the trouble of saying that in advance)

MU fans are way more excited about their team at the moment.

LOL, Gottlieb saying ku will get overseeded due to the name on their jersey like Duke.

They're going to end up as a 2...that's not overseeded at all.

I can see that, since Mizzou's players cared about playing their best this weekend.

I still think Baylor is over rated.....and coaching is the reason. I think the talent is there, and with any other coach they would be on par with Kentucky.

But the fact that MU and KU have pretty much owned them all year makes me feel they are suspect. You can bet everyone is watching how MU and KU handled Baylor and will game plan accordingly.

It depends on which Baylor team shows up....and that can be directly related to coaching. The Baylor team that played KU on Friday, and demolished their way through the non-con can play with anyone. The team that lost to Mizzou 3 times and was blown out by KU twice, not so much.

Would you agree we have good reason to be?

KU and MU likely both to get #2's
