Unfortunately a bunch of the teams we're chasing are playing the same dregs we've pounded all season. That's why winning this road trip would be so huge. If we can hold serve the next couple of weeks, we get to fatten up on chumps later.

All of the "realistic" predictions of a path to the playoffs had us losing 2 of 3 this weekend. We can go one up on them tomorrow.

Mac, basically said that Pedroia needs to wear a fastball in the ribs or up and in hard tomorrow. We knew Duffy wasn't going to try to go inside, Ventura should tomorrow and Pedroia should go down.

I hope the hell he doesn't do that. It would be monumentally stupid. I'm sure you agree with Mac though.

I think most people do, unfortunately Ventura has the rep that will not allow him to do it. Pedroia does need to be uncomfortable, he has been far too comfortable.
