Throughout the game MU kept chipping away at the lead, causing TO's, Ratliffe was having his way underneath, getting Gtown in foul trouble a little bit, a lot his pts came from the FT line. Kim English still hasn't done dick. Denmon and Ratliffe were the reason why MU was in this game at all, considering they were down by 18 at one point. This was a VERY fast paced game, lots of scoring. From a general fan's POV it was probably a fun game to watch. Towards later in the game, Gtown was getting tired you could tell, started getting careless with the ball, turning it over.....but time after time the 3pt shot would bail them out. Gtown pulled a Mario Chalmers at the end to send it into OT, and MU never came back after that. There were a couple players from Gtown that in all seriousness, couldn't miss tonight. |

I have been disappointed in kimmy for a while, with all this talent around him it is like he lost the killer instinct and he can't shoot free throws. Good to hear ratliffe played well he has looked a little shaky at times. Played against denmon in high school he was an absolute monster with a great 3 point shot. |

Just got back. Hung out at McFaddens afterwards. Georgetown fans are every stereotype you could ever think of them. We had a couple 40-something dudes in Ashworth pullovers with pleated khaki pants dancing at McFaddens, their Georgetown adjustable-size hats on backwards. One was still wearing his golf cleats. And I'm not joking.

Obviously disappointed in the loss, but this team showed a ton of grit coming back from 18 down in the 1st half when GT shot 71% from the field. Overall it was a really great game, and playing these types of games against legit teams will only help us as the season goes on.
Hopefully this game quiets the Ratliffe doubters. He was outstanding on the offensive end tonight and looks to be one of the best garbage players we've had in awhile (i mean that in a good way). |

I just saw the highlights... if the refs had been paying attention that was a clear foul at the end.

Then the missed free throws. Did it not seem the ball bounced G'towns way on the offensive glass every fucking time???? it was sickening. I turn the game off at the end of regulation, because I knew MU had lost all momentum and would tank... looks like I was right not watching overtime. Once again, I don't even know why I watch sports... my teams never win big games. |
I never blame the refs...like ever.
But this game was absolutely stolen from Mizzou. When the refs weren't missing obvious shot clock violations, they were screwing up out of bounds calls. Ultimately we counted up 11 points directly from buckets that came off blown calls. Not missed/called fouls, mind you, I can live with those because there's a lot of judgment involved. I mean flat out missing shit like a shot clock violation, a 3 second violation or a travel when the guy wasn't even driving. How the !@#$ do they not blow the whistle on the over the back at the end of regulation? FFS, they man pretty much used Mizzou's guy (who had proper post position) as a springboard to kick the ball out. It was an absolutely pathetic display by the refs. English didn't play well and Dixon was erratic, but MU played well enough to win this game and the shoddy ass officiating crew took it from them. Mizzou's for real. They'll be even better when Mitchell is back, and that hairpiece wearing mother****er in black and white last night can die in a goddamn fire. |
