Is this guy good or bad?

Some games he’s spectacular. Others not so much.

What’s your opinion CP?

He won in arrowhead.

ThaVirus 12-15-2019 06:42 PM

He's a much less magical Brett Favre. He can and will sling the ball all over the yard with reckless abandon.

I'd bet the Bucs extend him (or pick up the option, whatever). If Arians can clean up his turnovers, he could be a net positive for the team.

Eleazar 12-15-2019 07:39 PM

He'll never win anything and the Bucs will be mired for 5 more years if they don't cut bait.

Blake Bortles once threw for 35 TDs and 4400+ yards in a season. In 2015. Yeah, he also threw 18 picks, but stats-wise, you'd think, "Well, just cut down on the INTs, and we'll have a good QB."

Sometimes it's not as easy as it looks to just "cut down on the INTs" for certain QBs. They either have to be guns blazing chuck shit around the field or else they get totally neutered and basically turn into 49ers Alex Smith without the scrambling ability.

Why Not? 12-15-2019 08:40 PM

Would never want him on my actually team but he’s quarterbacked me into 3 fantasy football finals next week so I’m good with him.

Gravedigger 12-15-2019 08:42 PM

Keep him away from crab legs and female Uber drivers and he can be good.

Jameis Winston is the Jeff George of this era.

I would agree. Personally I think he'll always be the high risk kind of guy. He just does not seem to give a shit about making bad plays. Kind of reminds me of Jay Cutler in that regard.

But I think he's only like 25. I'm sure someone out there will believe they can mold him into a better QB.

GoChargers 12-15-2019 09:09 PM

I could honestly see Jameis having a Tannehill type of career arc where he gets better with a change of scenery. He has a lot of talent, he just needs proper coaching to keep his bad habits in check.
