I am surprised at some of the prices you guys are paying. It is running between $2.40 and $2.59 around here.

Oil was at $51 a barrel tonight, but prices spiked over .10 to 2.69 in KC.

This has been a strange year for gas prices in KC. Normally it's way cheaper in the city than the outlining areas, but this year the opposite is true. And I can't remember the last time Diesel was .20 cheaper than unleaded.

It's $4.79 a gallon today in LA.

That is odd. Diesel is the usual higher fuel here in Ohio. I haven't bought Diesel since last July, and don't plan on ever buying any again.

It was $3.89 at Costco yesterday but $4.79 at every other station I saw in Studio City, Burbank and Hollywood.

I was in Yosemite last week. Coming back on Saturday and Sunday, it was about $3.69 or so in Oakhurst, then add a dollar in Kettleman, on the 5, and then, about 15 miles or so South on the 5, back down to $3.69. In LA, up over $4.00.

It's always a lot less in Texas than in California.

Bob Dole is in Texarkana and was reporting prices a buck more that I am paying here in Austin. That was my main surprise. Cali is always much higher. They are also the reason for the whole summer/winter blend nonsense.
