Basically Saul talked about MU and said some stuff about KU. Wickedson came in here, found it offensive and rattled off.

This is an MU thread. I'm a KU fan, i frequent this thread alot. I like to talk basketball and see what my teams BIGGEST rival is up too.

Sorry if I stir shit like Wickedson.

Wickedson is not intelligent enough to handle the A game, it has to be dumbed down to a level he understands.

And really, I don't know what's so hard to understand about the whole "KU fans don't care about Mizzou" anyway.... so what if we didn't care about Missouri before this year, and all of a sudden care? They're one of the best teams in the nation... shouldn't you be happy that your team made the rivalry much more relevant? I think Frank Martin and other coaches have said as much... it's not a rivalry when it's lopsided. Not to say you need KU fans to care, but it's a good thing... :shrug:

I welcome the posters in here. Mizzou is a huge deal in KC, and this is a KC board. There's a reason the line gets thrown back in certain faces, though.

Anyway, back to basketball



What do you guys think of that potential matchup with Marquette. I think they could give you guys some problems. They play alot like MU. Guard oriented team. Should be a good game.


Although if you guys play like you did ths weekend, gonna be tough to beat.

Pretty much. You've never claimed not to care about Mizzou that I've seen, and I've never claimed not to care about KU.

Before this season, I pulled for Kansas whenever they weren't playing Mizzou. Their fans just became such ridiculous pussies when Mizzou did exactly what any school would have done that I lost all respect for the Jayhawks.

I've seen them several times and was never overly impressed. Doubt we play them.

I think we can beat Marquette...but I would rather see Murray State pull the upset there.

I think MU's guards are better as a unit than just about anyone's. Marquette finished behind Notre Dame in the Big East and we handled them...but who knows.

I am trying real hard not to look past the first weekend. One game at a time.

Honestly I think alot of that is jealousy. MU got to go to a spot KU and all the other BIg 12 teams would like to go.

Marquette is pretty tough defensively. Their post guy, Crowder, is alot like Ratliffe, but can step away and knock down perimeter shots.


If their guards can shoot it well, it could be a close game.

I'd like to see you guys matchup with Murray State.
