Well, all I know is I would rather be a "nOOb" then have enough free time (no life) to post on a message board 15-20 times a day. ROFL

Whats even funnier is how often I see someone completely dismiss another person's opinion on the Chiefs because they have a life and do not post very often. Its like they think "this person isnt a real Chiefs fan and shouldnt be treated like one because they dont post as much as me" :shake:

I don't look at post count to determine your n00b status.

MTG#10 10-04-2007 11:04 AM

To me "n00b" = anyone who became a Chiefs fan during our 13-3 season under Vermeil, or after. Ive been a fan since '85, but I was only 6 years old and didnt really get into football and pay close attention until about '90.

They are usually just yankin ya around. Dont be defensive, and your opinion will be heard.

with that said, Ive been stuck inside a Ship yard in Germany the last few days, and Ive posted about 500 times.

I agree with this sentiment - I have been reading and getting a LOT out of this forum for > 1 year now - and have recently been posting more...and have been called n00b - not that big a deal - but often feels a bit ironic since I have been a Cheifs fan since they won the Super Bowl on the day I turned 14 in the FIRST NFL game I ever saw (I am from Canada - sticks - off air only in those days - so CBC carried 1 game per year)....so I am FAR from a n00b fan for the Chiefs - believe me - I have suffered through ever intervening year.

I remember distinctly walking through a snowstorm listening to a portable radio to that heart-ripping loss to Indie the year we should have won it all - jan 7, 1996 - I could not watch it - the stress would have killed me.......

No, that would be a bandwagon or fair-weather fan.

uhhh... being a n00b has nothing (at least directly) to do with how long you've been a chiefs fan.

I dont even pay attention to it. Sometimes its people who want to validate themselves or their post count somehow, but mostly just a joking initiation type thing. No big deal. Not about being a fan as much as a member of the planet.

I guess my point more was that I have been a "member" of the forum for over a year and a chiefs fan for 37 years and yet because i did not post a lot - i got the n00b tag.....I guess a n00b will always be different things to different people - it comes down to being discriminated against and having assumptions made about you because of a label someone pins you with.....hmmmm

I'm a nOOb... Been a lurker for several years. I first started coming to Chiefs Planet after reading an article in the KC Star. At that time I lived down in the Do Da. Lost all access too my old email or would of used my old login name.

Craqhead's my name because I play an online roleplaying game called Everquest. Its one of my addictions, along w/ the Chiefs, KU, and Nascar.

I started being a Chiefs and KU fan when I was in the Marines. Being stationed in NC, and the year being 87. KU was in the news alot even in NC. Due too Coach Larry Brown being from NC, and then that next fellow to join the KU coaching tree. I still cant say his name nor type it../shrug just me I guess.

So a question here if anyone will answer. At what point may I have a avatar (thats not ghey) and a signature?
