I have seen Twins, Yanks, Cards highlights 7 or 8 times, though.

Don't get the idea that I'm defending ESPN... lord knows they often suck... but I have seen the Royals tonight.

I still can't believe we didn't make the trade for Montero. I love Soria, but he's a closer who has had TJ surgery, and Montero is the #1 or 2 prospect in all of baseball.

not necessarily. KC had another at bat and had been scoring a run almost every inning.

Did they score after that?

Just have to shake your head and heh that Soria gets credit for a save there. Ugly one's count too at least.

Reaper16 04-15-2011 09:22 PM

Soria hasn't been the same since he requested that his nickname be changed.

I'm sure there is someone. It just seemed like one of those days where just the whole pen just stunk up the joint.

Just glad that KC gathered plenty of 'insurance' runs.

This is an excellent point

We didn't score in the 7th or 8th.

Also, I think that the Rockies officially clinched the NL West. A 4.5 game lead after 13 games? Holy shit.

Boston has half as many wins as the next worst team in baseball.

AL East is the worst division in baseball.

WTF is going on?

Tulowitzki is on pace to hit about 87 HR. He's entered another dimension. If you remember he had an insane streak last September. In his last 41 games, he's hit 22 HR's.

The guys sat there in 40 degree weather, rain, and 30+ MPH winds for 3 hours. I can see how it would be hard to get up and pitch after that.

I still can't believe that any trade dealing with Soria for Montero was anything but rumor.

In other news, our AA team was completely, thoroughly, and utterly destroyed by a final score of 26-5.

Needless to say our pitching prospect had a bad night.

Christian Colon, (SS) - 1/5, 1K
Wil Myers - day off
Salvador Perez, (C) - 1/4, 1K
Will Smith, (SP) - 1IP 6R 6ER 1BB 1K 2HR

Yeah, I can see how that could affect them. Still, alot of things just went wrong, almost did.

Mitch Maier not diving for those balls. Ump trying to "extend" the game by not giving those borderline calls, etc. etc.
