Yeah he almost sold out. But the original LOTR will be one of my favorites all time. Read the books and I'm still really excited for the remaining two movies, CGI or not. Bit I wish they weren't:(

The LOTR series was BAD-****ing-ASS.

I remember those were dropping in theaters around the same time as the Matrix sequels; I used to look forward to both of them so much. LOTR got better with each movie but The Matrix turned to shit.

While the LOTR was badass, its obvious these Hobbit films are just cash in type films for the studio & Peter Jackson. I'll be passing on it. Smaug looks kinda lame and not intimidating. Its crazy that the T Rex from Jurassic Park is now 20 years old but that looks sooo much better than Smaug.

Thats what all that was? What scene were they watching that would be so funny to two actors that were not even in the first movie?

The trailer for The Desolation of Smaug was what they were watching FWIW.

I've been watching Sherlock, and I may finally get around to watching this since the guy who plays Watson is Bilbo.

Trailer looked good in 3d before the movie last night. Smaug looks cooler on the big screen.

I see they have dwarves in ridiculoulys long and drawn out scenarios again, this time going down a river and waterfalls in barrels.

Doesn't mean it won't be overly done and last way too long just like it was in the first movie when they kept falling with no sign of injury and getting out of trouble in the goblin cave. And look bad all the while with the CGI.

Since they actually took the hobbits out to a real river and put them in real barrells and floated them down the ****ing river, you can just shut the hell up.
