KU gets home cooking all the time. I've never said differently. That's part of the reason why it's so hard to play there. And yet MU fans won't say the same thing about their own games, even when it's so stunningly obvious.

KU will move on and be better for it, I'm sure. It's now their turn to hold serve and I suspect, based on tonight, they'll do a much better job of it than MU in a few weeks.

It seems to me that it's a few MU fans that have to accept they got some serious help from the refs tonight both throughout the game and especially at the end. But that's apparently too difficult for anybody to do.

That is a chickenshit pussy way of looking at it. KU couldn't stop an 11-0 run to end the game... you really are a shit for brains. Thank god KU fans I work with and am friends with are not like you.

Sometimes the truth can seem that way to some, I guess.

KU would have been able to stop the run had they been given the basket that they deserved and the foul calls that they earned, no?

DJ's left nut 02-05-2012 01:26 AM

KU fans are like Colorado Rockies hitters on the road.

They don't just struggle because they're not getting those rolling curveballs they usually get at home. They struggle because they're not accustomed to normal breaking pitches. Suddenly a run of the mill curveball looks like the God of all breaking pitches because they're used that hanging shit they get at altitude. In all actuality, it's just a pretty average pitch.

Jayhawks fans are so used to getting every single call at home, that they're simple incapable of recognizing a game that is generally evenhanded. Ratliff gets 2 fouls called against him when he's standing flat on the ground with his feet set and arms raised? Eh, who gives a crap; they didn't get a borderline charging call when Dixon clearly had his feet set. Pressey gets bodied out of bounds, forcing a pass to a running center that leads to a traveling call? Don't care - KU didn't have a 3-1 FT edge (nevermind that MU was the more aggressive offensive team).

Suddenly the entire game came down to one charging call against Robinson where he spun and put an elbow into a defenders chest. To hell with the fact that Withey was cold-cocking guys under the net and not getting called for it; the entire game was decided on that single charging call. Why? Well because Kansas lost, that's why. And Kansas never gets beat by their opponent, just the referees.

If the refs aren't pole-****ing whoever the Beakers are playing that day, well then they're clearly biased against KU.

KU is 50-19 in B12 road games under Bill Self. Over the last nine years, only Texas has even been able to put up an above .500 record in such games in the conference (35-32). They usually outclass their opponents, even with the road calls going consistently against them (though 20 fouls to 10, 11 more FTs, and two crippling missed calls late can be tough for any team to overcome).

But yeah, the Colorado Rockies hitters on the road analogy is a great one. LMAO

One (Mizzou fan) poster on this board, doesn't care about basketball. ONE. That's it. To most of us, football comes first... but basketball matters. Not only matters, but it's a big ****ing deal.

I love Mizzou BB and follow every game even through the rough patches.

Yeah, that would be me. I'm glad Missouri won, obviously, but I just don't.... like.... basketball.

We all waste too much effort on this pathetic Gooner troll. What a fun Saturday night he had - talking endless shit nobody cares about in a thread that has nothing to do with his team. I assume he followed it up by ****ing his hand and then crying himself to sleep. What a guy.

So KU doesn't win the close games that are played there, they just screw their opponents over with the home cooking. Got it.

A lot of the time, yes. They get bailed out at home by the refs all the time, much like MU did tonight.

This really shouldn't be so surprisingly for anybody that watches college basketball regularly. This is what happens at this level.

Simply Red 02-05-2012 01:39 AM

Mizzou looks dope, and KU is no small-fry. That conference is showing major players this season. I like it! MU will dust UGA next season in hoops. Should be fun to watch them play UGA in FB, as well.

I'll pull for MU over UGA on principal alone. SEC fans are really annoying, down here.

Frazod, I have no hate for you or MU. I never have. Only respect. I don't see much reason to make me the representation of your KU hatred and ire simply for talking the truth about a game and sport that you really don't care about.

What does KU's record have to do with their fans' complete inability to recognize evenhanded officiating?

I didn't say KU's players and staff can't recognize it. Then again, KU's players and staff aren't the ones pissing and moaning about the officiating right now, are they?

There's very little that's evenhanded about a 20-to-10 foul differential, 11 more free throws, and two horrible missed calls in the last two minutes. And KU players and staff won't bitch about it because they know they get a very similar benefit on their own home court...it's part of the game.

Since I don't like basketball, I rarely post in basketball threads and don't partake in smack talk. I didn't watch the game, obviously can't discuss what happened, and beyond being happy about the whole top 10 win thing don't give a shit. I'll glad Missouri beat Kansas (in anything) and I'm happy that my fellow MU fans are happy.

I was just calling out one of the biggest gaping vaginas on the board, and much like his trolling, it had nothing to do with the game.
