the best we can hope for is this nice stretch is giving him some confidence and maybe we could end up making a quality starter out of him after all

I highly doubt it...but he's been excellent so far this year.

Hoch is what he is. He can eat up some low pressure innings, but I can't imagine ever wanting him to pitch in important situations ever again.

Maybe we can trade him for another Guthrie. Who else is secretly really good on the Rockies that they don't want?
