LMAO, never fails. The second a backup QB throws a TD everyone wants him to start. Just remember there is a reason Foles is a back up. He looked good and I like him compared to say Daniel but come on, it was one game against a shit defense that didn't plan against him.

Foles threw for 26 tds in only 11 games and had a 119 rating in only his second year. That's a season only Alex could dream of.

Let's see what he can do.

I wouldn't.

Both QBs today were pretty good, and that's because of execution against a poor defense.

And the offense still stalled in the red zone, with Foles, because of piss poor playcalling.

Missing a wide open West by a mile for a sure touchdown didn't help.

That was easily the worst throw of the season

Cam Newton took a lot of questionable no call hits today too. For a league that's supposed to be protecting the most valuable position on the field, they are doing a real shitty job.

He definitely either panicked or got too excited there because that was an easy TD. I have always been very interested in Foles, even in college. I look forward to seeing what he can do.

Lets not be unfair though. There are people that would have called out Smith for missing that TD to West. There are people who would pick apart this win saying that 30 points should have been 42 or that IND is terrible and passing against them means nothing.

One thing is for sure in my mind. Foles floor and his ceiling are much lower/higher than Smith's is. Let's see what he can do.

Well that sure is an exaggeration that's just not true in order to make your overall point in this thread.

Didn't Smith throw a pick a swing pass this season?

It was a terrible throw however you want to slice it. He had West wide open and just missed. But shit happens.

He was trying to be passive aggressive and went too far.

I understand his frustration. He worships Alex... He's scared and nervous.

But he should be lashing out at Reid And co for putting Smith in a position to get ****ed up again...

Now? Smith is a few food door bell rings from being done. That's how serious concussion shit is now days. Ita not to be messed with.

I can't wait to hear Andy's completely dismissive response when asked about it. Or he gives a full explanation that goes in circles and explains nothing.

The Tyreek Hill and Kelce TD's were Foles' best plays and both players were completely wide open, both throws which we have seen Smith make.

It's the throw to Hill that went deep but was underthrown that people got excited about, that's a catch that was entirely credit to Hill for tracking the ball.

The Conley 33 yard gain was a free play with the defender falling on his face.

Had Kelce hauled in that pass (At the end of the 3rd quarter) down the sideline at the 5, that would have easily been the best throw of the day between the two quarterbacks. nice try, nevertheless.

The best throw of the day then really was the TD pass to Maclin from Smith. Great placement, right on the money, defender never had a chance. http://www.chiefs.com/media-center/v...8-cd4e96c7caed

Alex Smith:

Ypg: 18th

TD: Tied for 22nd

Man, we would really miss that guy.

NJChiefsFan 10-30-2016 05:29 PM

With a concussion I'm surprised Smith had time to write an article for the Chiefs website.
