The Kansas City Chiefs' interview with Andy Reid ended up going long on Wednesday, which is why he didn't travel out to Arizona that evening in preparation for a meeting with the Cardinals. Going on the hypothetical that this deal gets done, what should we expect regarding Reid's coaching and front office staff? The ongoing buzz has been that if Reid is in, current Chiefs GM Scott Pioli would be out. That would leave a vacancy that some believe would be filled by Tom Heckert, who was fired by the Browns this week and worked with Reid in Philadelphia. In fact, a source has revealed to the Cleveland Plain Dealer that this is Reid's intention.

As for coaches, the Plain Dealer is also reporting that Reid would have the opportunity to bring along Pat Shurmur and Brad Childress, who recently served as HC and OC of the Browns, respectively. Others from the Reid coaching tree (in Philly and elsewhere) could also be considered. Hey, maybe there's an opening at DC for Juan Castillo.

Not sure of exact timeline but roughly people suspect Pioli may need to be fired first due to having final say on moves or just because thats how they want to do it.

Some thoughts on who the GM and coaches may be. Childress/Shurmur as well as Heckert/Gamble/Dorsey at GM or personnel roles.

John Goodman bought the team but then promptly died there by reverting the team ownership back to Clark Hunt and we are back where where we were 3 hours ago.
