Going to be an interesting offseason. Decisions on Kendrys Morales and Volquez will be very interesting (QO or no?)

Filling out the final two spots in the rotation will also be interesting. I feel fine with the prospect of using Vargas/Minor/Mills/Strahm to fill that last spot, but filling two spots with that grouping would be an extreme stretch. The FA class is pretty weak for SP (Rich Hill, Jeremy Hellickson with a QO attached, and Andrew Cashner are probably the top 3 guys), so it will be a tall task.

What kind of deal do you see Hill getting? I think Vargas is your 4th guy but I bet the other starter comes from outside the organization via FA or trade.

Kendrys might actually be the first guy to do the mutual option.

2-3 years, somewhere around $15 million per.

Herrera has pitched more innings than Soria. Thats his mother ****ing excuse? He's ****ing tired after 61 innings pitched in 130+ games??? What kinda pussy is this guy?

From Flanny: Cain talking about shutting it down the rest of the year, Ned saying he's going to start playing Whit, Colon more at 3B.

Sounds like they've accepted their fate.

With Cain out, I hope we get a strong dose of Dozier.

What's Kendrys price you think? I can't tell if there's going to be much of a market for him.

Please God, I hope we're not going into the season faced with a repeat of this season and looking at trying to patchwork a starting rotation. Vargas and the rest of the names you mentioned should be looked at as likely to fill 1 spot. I don't want a repeat of having to force Young into the rotation type scenario.

I hope they keep him, one of the few "professional" hitters we actually have.

In other words, Soria will still pitch in high-leverage situations, just not as many!

Funny thing about that is Soria gave up 3 runs in one inning in the first game of the year. In his next appearance in game 3 against the Twins, he pitched one inning of a tie game and promptly surrendered the lead. Soria has literally sucked ass since day 1, and after 140 games of suckage Ned just thinks he's tired? Ned is a nice guy and all, but it is mind blowing that we won a World Series (almost two) with this guy as the coach.

Showing off the speed tonight.

Buzz 09-10-2016 08:09 PM

So are we mathematically eliminated yet?

Deberg_1990 09-10-2016 08:15 PM

Soria again in the 8th! Yes!
