I'm not aware of any such law, but it's of no consequence. Kansas isn't wanted. MU leaving for the Big 10 will set off a chain of events that will dissolve the Big XII and leave Kansas scrambling to join Conference USA or some other such mid-major association of misfits. Quantrill only wishes he could have wrought as much havoc in Larryville.

Yes, like I said in my post, they were not wanted. This is due to the way TV markets and profit sharing between schools in the B10 work. You would know not of such things because you're a ****ing troglodyte of bigger proportions then your Nebraska counterpart, billay. This has nothing to do with MU being superior in some mystical way, it's about relative location and big TV markets.

Nothing's close to official, gonna be a while for that.... just a hell of a lot of smoke. And where there's smoke...

There's enough smoke here to black out the Sun, IMO. Really good deal for MU, not going to lie.

KcMizzou 05-03-2010 08:11 PM

Also, Keitzman says Mizzou and Mike Alden specifically have clammed up and won't comment on the issue at all anymore. When something big is about to go down, that's when things get quiet. (Can't go blabbing to the media before it's official.)

Yeah, massive difference in enrollment. National titles are definitely close.

P.S. Texas endowment is ****ing stupid. JFC.

I'm sorry, I overlooked ku's excellence in track and field during the 1960s and 70s.

Good thing Jim Ryun made it out of that house fire alive, eh?

I'm excited about it. Gonna be weird for a while, but I think in the end it'd be a great move.

chiefschargersmnf 05-03-2010 08:15 PM

so what are the latest specifics?

sorry for the laziness but im really interested on this news

Reaper16 05-03-2010 08:15 PM

You know who is pissed off about the move? The Kansas City Star. They'll have to have reporters that know the ins & outs of the Big Ten now and they'll have to be there for Big Ten media days and produce special sections for Big Ten football and basketball and make All-Big Ten teams, etc. in addition to all that they already do for the Big 12.

I agree I hope we find a way to still play those fictional birds in basketball and football each year

Night Wright was all excited about it the other day. Talked about how it'll give him more interesting topics... more interesting games to watch, etc. I agree that it'd be a cool thing for college fans in the KC area in general.

For me personally, it's not like I'd instantly not give a damn what happened with the rest of the Big 12. Hell, I'd probably start rooting for KSU a lot more.

Titty Meat 05-03-2010 08:20 PM

Will this mean no more tourney in KC?

I don't think there's any doubt about that. That rivalry is a century old and counting. They're not gonna end it. It might not be quite the same, but it's not like Mizzou and KU were games were hugely important very often anyway. (the game at Arrowhead not withstanding.)

Mizzou vs. KU is an event on it's own. Carries it's own weight. That won't change. Esp, in KC, and on this site.
