Duffy was out hurt wasn't he?

I would consider that a staff of 3 No. 3 types and a good No. 2 type.

Buehrle led the league in innings that year, was third in ERA, and fourth in WAR for pitchers. That's an ace.

Hahahaha 14-0 As

Yeah, I remember that being the best year of his career, but the 10 years in between probably shifted it down a few notches for me, mentally (and unfairly).

That's really the only "ace" type performance he's had over a full season, though. The rest of his career is filled with very solid No. 2-3 starter type performances.

you know....before the season, I was worried about losing Shields, but I didn't think we were gonna stink like Vegas and prognosticators did.

But nowhere in my mind did I think we'd be good enough to be 20 games over 500 just after the all-star break.

This is incredible......even after last year, the "old" royals fan in me continues to worry about the bottom dropping out....so that fear still rides along with me - but this is really, really fun!

I know there has been news on Medlin's return to the majors.

But is there any news at all out there on Kyle Zimmer? How's his rehab going? - before he got injured/had surgery, he was one of those guys that was supposed to strongly considered for the big league starting rotation.

Frenchy walk off homer vs Miami, 8th bomb of the year. #tradeIdea?

Zimmer for Francoeur. Get it done Dayton.

Mondesi + Manea for Frenchy + OSullivan. We need to go for it.

Zimmer has been pitching quite well out of the pen in the minors. Could be a possible September addition to the Royals bullpen.
Going to be stretched back out into a starter for 2016 (I believe that bit came from Duncan)

I'm just so glad he's gone. He could be the nicest person ever...but I'm sure as shit glad he's not a Royal any longer.

Guthrie is next I wanna see gone.

I believe Jon Heyman said he had muscle tightness and was removed as a precaution.
