Roger has sacrificed the competitive game for sports entertainment for the sake of marketing ad $$$.

He's focused on the NFL brand instead of the product on the field. That's putting the cart before the horse, because the brand is grown and enhances it's reputation when the product on the field is the compelling interest. Viewership and ratings went down this year. Clearly, I'm not the only one who has a waning interest when in the last 17 years there's only been 2 Super Bowls that didn't include at least one of 3 names : Brady, Manning, or Rothlisberger.

I don't think the NFL realizes how predictable it's become. It's your choice so don't watch.

I don't think they do because I don't think they care. As has been said, Roger's only task was to sell the brand, bring in more money, and expand the viewership, and that he did. What they forgot was the game itself. But with the cash they're now making, it's hard to get them to see it, they think "the game" is whatever makes more money, because that's their game.

Go no farther than our very own Clark Hunt, he's always the church boy when it comes to defending his team and his city. He's a profit-first Hunt/Texan, and the NFL has his number..
