We need some of those bowling pin-looking bats the Yankees use!
|
Gotta love baseball and the atrocious ass umpires. What's even better is that there is a clear and simple fix that could very easily eliminate these issues, but MLB wants to drag their feet.
Having strikes and balls called by an automated system would increase the fairness of the game significantly. That's not even the best thing that would come from an ABS. The best thing would be the end of the stupid ass pitch framing conversation. Pitch framing is a bunk ass stat that has no real way of being calculated and just tanks Salvador Perez's fWAR and defensive ranking. The guy who has been one of the best at throwing out base runners has career defense ranking of -9.2 and has had a negative defense ranking in 7 of his 12 seasons according to fangraphs. |
Twins have won 2 in a row and Cleveland got swept.
All five AL Central teams are now tied at 2-4. |
I was shocked tonight to hear the Royals mangler say he WASN'T upset at our offense, instead tipping his hat to the other team's pitching.
No bowling pin bats like the Yankees have and a mangler who is already making excuses ny saying the other team's pitchers were dealing, welp. Oh well... LMAO |

Agree... but if we going to have an outfielder who can't make contact, at least Drew can field the position, unlike Melendez. |
I don’t think I agree with any one approach te ding to produce AAAA players, Royals are otherwise.
Guys who fall into that category typically are guys who have a fatal flaw or two that major leaguers can exploit at high levels of consistency, but players in the minors cannot. A pitcher who can’t throw his breakers for strikes, ever. A hitter who can’t handle a specific location or a specific pitch in a location. Etc. The minor leagues are filled with them, because baseball is really, really hard. |
