JFC we gave up just 320 yards on defense, our offense turned the ball over 3 times, and our defense spotted us 7.
The defense was fine. Of course it's not going to be best defense in the NFL good like it was last season. This place is un****ingbelievable. |

Yeah the defense was not a huge issue. Sure, it’s not ideal that the TEs had big days but that was also surely partly by design. They focused on Chase as he was the one who could actually break the game open and it worked. They had to produce long sustaining drives, which occasionally led to mistakes or stalling out. It’s just like in the Bills playoff game where the Bills ran for a ton of yards and people panicked thinking the Ravens would have their way. We let them have the run and it worked to keep Allen from creating huge plays. |

Tight ends are a massive problem for this defense currently. Small sample size, sure, but they've given up 276 yards in 2 games to them. Second worst is the Ravens at 180. Everybody else is at 130 or below.

It's not all Bolton either. Reid missed alot of TC, seems pretty rusty.

I always push back on "training camp doesn't matter". You have to play football to be good at football.
|
Really makes all the folks sperging out about the Brown injury look dumb as ****. Look at all the teams getting absolutely decimated by injury and looking like complete shit because they go from lackadaisical practices to games with almost no buffer between. NFLPA was absolutely reeruned putting all those restrictions on Training Camps like they did.
|
The owners took them to the woodshed.
"We want less practice and more time off" "Ok we'll take more money" Deal. |

If all teams played all their guys in the preseason, they’d simply be losing them more before any regular season games rather than right now. |
Because practice and game situations are how you get in shape and play football, as well as improve at football.
Missing practice and reps makes this worse. |

Eh, defense added new pieces (same as offense) and it's just gonna take a little time.
|
Because expecting players to go from a handful of training camp practices and two glorified scrimmages where the starters on each side may get maybe 4 or 5 drives in total to full blown games is ridiculous given the marked drop of quality in early season play and the amount of injuries we've seen over the first two weeks.

this is why the Chiefs traded Sneed though. You can’t pay everyone when you draft this well, and there’s no doubt in my mind that McDuffie is getting paid next Spring when he earns his 2nd straight All-Pro.i though they could push paying McDuffie out but I actually think it’s smart to pay him first and then Karlaftis in year 5 so the cap hits can stagger instead of hitting at the same exact time.
That Titans pick is gonna be so valuable. They are 100% picking top 10. I’d say there’s a better than 50/50 chance they pick top 5. It’s for sure gonna be a top 70 draft pick. That extra top 70 pick is so big for us. |

-Nobody to cover tight ends -Gay not there with the closing speed on pass out to the flats -He was always good for a big momentum-swinging blitz or tackle for loss about once a game too We're missing all of that quite a bit. |
