Knee-jerk fans. Though he's improved and settled down in the 2nd half for sure.

I gave him more slack for adjusting to the AL and the fact that they can deny it all they want but they juiced the ball.

Kennedy has pitched fairly well the 2nd half. But on the season he's 71/81 qualifiers in FIP. He has not had a very good year.

I thought I was pretty clear with my thoughts about him. I didn't like the length of the contract, but I really liked the player with the Royals and in the K.

Are you complaining that my comment came after a larger sample size?

BWillie 09-11-2016 05:22 PM

Soooo is Hunter Dozier actually on the team?

KCCHIEFS27 09-11-2016 05:22 PM

FIP is one of the worst stats out there. "Hey! What would a guy look like if he didn't have 7 guys playing behind him?!"

I disagree. I wish someone would pay me $10,000,000 not to work next year.

Sad that he had a special talent but couldn't stay away from the triple cheeseburgers. Put out a little effort then I might feel bad for the fatty that just robbed the A's.

11% seems awful high with that many teams ahead of us.

tk13 09-12-2016 10:52 AM

Probably because we're now within 2 games of all those teams ahead of us... except for the WC teams of course.

Plus we have an 8 game homestand with Oakland and Chicago coming up. If they're going to make the leap over these teams, it has to be this week.

Bowser 09-12-2016 10:57 AM

Again - had we swept the Yankees and Tigers like we should have, we'd be holding down a WC spot. Ugh.

Oh well, just keep chopping wood and winning series.

tk13 09-12-2016 11:02 AM

Yeah, even winning a game or two in that stretch would've been huge. 4 games back with 20 to play is a mountain to climb. If both of those WC teams go .500 we'd have to go 16-4 over that stretch.

I actually think hopping over all those teams in front of us isn't unrealistic... 2 games is nothing, even with 4 teams ahead of us. I 100% believe KC can do that. You could do that this week with a strong homestand.

But once that happens you still need to make up another 2 games to catch one of the WC teams. You'd have to really stay hot.

Red Sox will be our friends next 11 days or so. Orioles, Yankees, and Orioles. They can do some damage for us. Other rooting interests - Dodgers and Rangers.

No, just pointing out you always praise guys when they hit hot streaks (which every player does at some point(s) during a season). And castigate the rest of us as being either foolish or impatient for discussing earlier struggles.

To your pt re: Kennedy, yes he's looked very good second half. He did however get torched for like 6 straight weeks when we started going into the tank. Like Kendrys, all those earlier struggles count on the record too.

That's 89% against. A huge longshot.
