I hit all 7 irons and biggest were within a yard or two carry for the i500, Titlest AP3 and i210. Also my thinking is as I知 approaching 40 I知 ok getting slightly stronger lofts to make myself feel I知 still hitting it the same. |

If you're looking for new sticks, don't overlook the Srixon Z585/785's.
And you can find the 65 series pretty dam cheap right now too. |

There's a good article on MyGolfSpy about it. The basic premise is this: TM releases the R1. Vendors pay $290 for it, plus shipping. It's originally marked at $399. It doesn't sell that well, so TM announces a price cut. Now it's $349, then $299 after only a few months. So you have to blow through your entire inventory in very, very little time, or turn basically no margin on that. Combine that with the fact that TM was pumping out five or six driver models a year, and you have a toxic atmosphere. Example, 2014: SLDR 430, SLDR 460, SLDR White, SLDR mini, Jetspeed Compare that to Ping or Titleist, whose clubs are not eligible for mass retailer discounts and undergo structured reductions in their prices (after 1 year the G400 goes from $399 to $299, etc.) |
I quit paying attention to TM when they started doing that shit.

Decided to cut work early yesterday and hit the course for only the third time this year with a couple of buddies. I got lucky and sucked back a 9 iron (it hit about 4' beyond and just to the left of the hole) for my first ever hole in one. The rest of the round was pretty unremarkable, but I may not forget that shot for a while.

When I was young and the KC Star and Times were real newspapers Id always read the local golfers hole in ones. Id check to see if anyone I knew what course hole and club they used. Always dreamed one day Id be in there. In my 60s and has never happened and I don't get to play as often now. I am jelly! |
I have been looking for this for over 20 years. Last night, it showed up in my YouTube suggestions.
From The Masters' channel, the full final round broadcast of the 1986 Masters. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/vbsVaBDRtBI" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
