With this guy's mustache and windup, I'm pretty sure Billy Beane pulled this pitcher out of 1915. I guess that's the new Moneyball, fire up Kevin Costner's VW van and start finding undervalued players from the last century.

Anyone remember game 1 of this year vs the Mets? Royals were leading 4 to 0, 8th inning comes around and Soria comes out. Bases loaded with 1 out, Soria gives up 3 runs and almost blows the game.

Man, what a sign of things to come. To think that I forgot he almost blew the game vs the Mets in the very first game of the season, and would have if the Royals were only up 2 to 0.

**** you, Soria.

Not sure I've seen many balls hit there. That was a bomb. That was over the fountains.

I'd say this is all she wrote for the boys in blue, way to quit on the fans. BUT, thank you for 2014 and 2015.

McGwire distance.

Finished mowing and came inside to watch the game. 1st pitch I saw was that home run.

The sad thing is, the Royals don't have a player in their organization that could hit that home run.

With the way our ballpark is set up, it's possible we never will. Although to be fair there aren't many guys period who can hit a baseball 480 feet. That's legit McGwire/Stanton territory.

By Statcast's numbers that was the 5th longest home run this season, by anyone.

Edit: And actually looking at the list, 3 of the 4 longest home runs ahead of that one were hit in Coors Field at high altitude.
