For me personally, it's not like I'd instantly not give a damn what happened with the rest of the Big 12. Hell, I'd probably start rooting for KSU a lot more.

I'm sure the employees would love it. The paper at large is going to hate having to spend more money though.

I'm with you -- I'd root for K-State even more, and I already rooted for their basketball team pretty hard last season.

Likewise.

Good thing Jim Ryun made it out of that house fire alive, eh?

Just like you overlooked that KU has no wrestling or gymnastics when mentioned the sports you're better yet. Good job with those, where do you place among the 3 other schools in the B12 that do have those sports?

Don't leave out NE.

Although to argue anything other than the indisputable fact that MO is the meth capital of the US would be laughable.

Leave Ne out of this argument. :)

It hasn't been for a long time. CA is probably the capital of meth, per capita. The whole game changed when the feds hammered down on psuedoephedrine. Suddenly, the crank and "Nazi Cold" meth that people could easily make themselves became endangered. The country is now relying mostly on cartel meth that comes in from Mexico. Weed is the cartel's largest focus, yes, but people really underestimate how much of the meth game is run out of Mexico these days.

No lie. There's a shit load of meth coming over the border. :shake:

That's just shit talking... bunch of BS.

I'm curious. What do you think of Nebraska possibly moving to the Big 10?

Springfield is basically AG headquarters. Their theological seminary is here.

Also, Keitzman says Mizzou and Mike Alden specifically have clammed up and won't comment on the issue at all anymore. When something big is about to go down, that's when things get quiet. (Can't go blabbing to the media before it's official.)

Probably not going to hear anything till the middle of June at the earliest.

I think it'll be a lot longer than that.

Dr Tom's all over this. He fucking hates Texas. I think it would be a good deal all around. At least we'd have a yearly rivalry in Iowa along with Missouri. Nebraska and Iowa have had a good rivalry thru the years. We were screwed when they dropped Oklahoma and other than Missouri, Nebraska really doesn't have a rival game in the sense of the word. Although Texas was starting to climb the charts.

yeah, I know. I grew up a few blocks from their headquarters on booneville and division. springfield; odds are, of four corners of a city block, one of them is a church, one of them is a chinese chicken place, one of them is a brown derby, and one of them is a kum-and-go.

If Mizzou's going (and it seems very likely), I'd think Nebraska would fit in fine too... from a football perspective, if nothing else. The Big 10 gains the big TV markets, quality football and basketball programs in Mizzou, and a big name with Nebraska... a quality football program that fits right in the the style of play in the conference.

If Neb goes to the Big 10 then goodbye Ohio State. Your free pass is all used up.

Sam Hall 05-04-2010 09:17 AM

I absolutely can't wait to go to my first Nebraska-Ohio State and Nebraska-Michigan games in Lincoln.

It is an honored tradition to which some school(s) are going to receive an invitation. As an Iowa fan I would like to see Nebraska come on in although I remember when Nebraska was in the Big8 so I'm a little freaked out.
Your first home games against the traditional power schools will be special.
Wait until you travel to the Shoe and the Big House to see your team play in a regular season game that means something.
Quite a feeling.
Although the meaning of the regular season for the Big10 is going to change, isn't it?
