Pujols with 1 home run and 10 RBIs for the season. Damn.

Pretty impressive for a 42 year old.

Somebody at work pointed this out to me today. Did a quick search, to see if it had been posted, and came up empty.

The story that goes with it, says Erick Aybar tapped him on the elbow, instead of giving him a high five. It was from Wednesday night's game.

WTF? :shake: Pujols is going to have a full meltdown.

At some point in his life he is going to shout from the rooftops that leaving the Cardinals was the biggest mistake in his life. It's just sad.

This isn't a good thread to do the sour grapes thing in, because Albert is the best hitter of his generation and is going to be just fine. He stands a pretty fair chance of some additional MVP awards and another ring. He didn't just fall apart in three months. He will be fine.( Besides, the narrative here is that he was over the hill anyway...?)

Hamilton hit 4 in one game!! And then another one yesterday-he is going for the triple crown this year.

This is the perfect thread for the sour grapes thing.

But hey, if you want to ignore 3 straight years of declining production and the fact that teams are now routinely shifting him on the infield because he's had to cheat to catch up to good fastballs, be my guest.

Most assumed that Pujols would eventually be the Home Run King taking the crown from Arod-that is assuming Arod hits another 130 over the next 4-6 years with the Yanks.

I think he will come around-but this slump should have Angels fans worried- they have 9 more years plus a Service contract after that to choke down.

No he won't.. He's making bank and he's already won championships.

whoman69 05-11-2012 03:43 PM

Watch him still get voted as the All Star game starter.

Chief Roundup 05-11-2012 04:34 PM

Wow he is down to .198 with 1 HR and 11 RBIs so glad we didn't pay him.
