Guthrie is next I wanna see gone.

In his last 15 starts, Guthrie has given up 3 or fewer runs 12 times. We're 12-6 in games he has started. I don't know who you think is going to walk through the door and be better.

This.

When Guthrie gets blasted he gets blasted, but most of the time he's steady. Especially for a number 5 starter.

Statistically he's one of the very worst starters in MLB

Guthrie constantly gets bailed out from the defense after getting himself into jams after about 3IP.

If it weren't for our defense he'd have like a 6-7 point ERA.

He's like the QB who posts sub par #'s but wins because he has a great RB and defense.

I expect him to be moved out of the rotation as Vargas and Medlen get healthy. I just don't see a number 5 being that big of a conern. He's getting by enough to win games.

This. He gave up 9 hits in 5 IP yesterday and gives up 3 runs and people act like he's serviceable. He can't strike hitters out and if you can't do that, you're dead - unless you have the Royals defense behind you

He's the Trent Dilfer of this club

You can also go to a four man rotation in the playoffs. And replacing jguts doesn't impact the playoff odds at this point imo.

But he, in fact, does have the Royals defense behind him does he not?

I know there has been news on Medlin's return to the majors.

But is there any news at all out there on Kyle Zimmer? How's his rehab going? - before he got injured/had surgery, he was one of those guys that was supposed to strongly considered for the big league starting rotation.

Zimmer has been pitching in relief only. Kind of a waste if that's all he is now. Hopefully they're just being cautious with him.

They still view him as a starter long-term. Using him out of the pen this year because he threw so few innings last season and they need to build him back up. This gives them a way to do it and get a potential MLB contribution out of him next year.

Key will be watching him in Spring Training next season. They're going to have him back in the rotation there.

Esky ****ing owned the SportsCenter Top 10 tonight. He had plays #9, #7, and #1.

And a KC T-Bones player got #2 robbing a HR and falling over the CF wall.

I always wonder about the rules on something like that. What if he just hopped the wall and caught the ball on the other side? What exactly is the rule on a low outfield wall?

Also I'm very interested to see how Duffy does his next start. Last time he had a start like this he was lights out against DET, then the massive control problems came in the next start.
