I really think we've gotten to the point where managers are just running their best relievers into the ground. What Ned did with HDH is just hard to replicate. Even with these great relievers, guys are running out of gas by the end of the WS. Same thing happened last year with Miller and Chapman.

It makes me appreciate what Ned did in 2014 through 2015.

He was very strategic about when he used Davis in 2015. It's funny, teams are trying to use the HDH blueprint, but it's going to be a long time before we ever see an HDH (or HHD) again.

Yup. They just commented on how when relievers are tired, even 1-3 MPH off their pitches can allow hitters to get ahead.
