Draft is tommorrow who are they targeting? I would assume it will be either Ryne Stanek from Arkansas or Alex Gonzalez from Oral Roberts.

I doubt Dayton Moore would, though. And I doubt even more the Rangers would. |

Not that I see it happening. Moore would have a hard time justifying keeping his job if his second attempt at a "go for it" year ended in epic failure, too. And trading Shields now would definitely signal that. Texas would also likely not do the deal. If they move Profar, I think it's going to be for something involving Mike Stanton or David Price. |

Favorite draft targets:
Assuming that Appel, Gray, Bryant, Meadows, Stewart and Frazier are all gone by the time the Royals pick... I like Braden Shipley out of Nevada or Trey Ball, the Texas OF/P. Both guys have premium arms with low mileage on them, high upside, and very good changeups. Ball has only been throwing a curveball since his junior year of HS but reportedly has developed it to an impressive level for a guy who has only been throwing it 1.5 years. Least favorite targets: Ryne Stanek - Velocity has dipped, his slider has lost some bite, and he has shown little progression with his changeup. Needs to be "fixed" a bit by MiLB development team. Not confident this Royals' development team can get that done. Phil Bickford - He's a big HS arm who throws mid-90s now with promise of more. But he's extremely raw and has no secondary stuff to speak of at this point. Ball has similar upside and ability (size and velocity are nearly the same) and is much more polished. |
I don't usually do hypothetical’s but I’ve got one;
Dyson comes back. The Royals decide Francoeur is the odd man out. However, that leaves you with three Lefty Outfielders. So, you find a someone that will give you a right handed outfielder (assume it’s someone you’d be happy with) for Francoeur and one of your lefties. You ain’t giving them Gordon so you have to pick Dyson or Lough. Who would you give up? Dyson or Lough? |

Looking at K's and BB's so far this year.
Just in generally watching, you would think that Frenchy leads the team in Ks. Actually Alex does, he has 51. But he as many more plate appearances. Cain has been K'ing a lot. He also has 41. Hos has 36, Moose has 26. Billay has even walks and K's at 34 ea. That's not terrible for your alleged clean up guy, we need more extra base sock from Billay. On walks, nobody has 20 or more except Billay. Frenchy has walked only 5 times this year. 41Ks and 5 BBs. Terrible. |
So Cain has 1 HR and 41k this year.
Escobar is a total pumpkin with identical stats to Berroa and Neifi. And people STILL think we won the Greinke deal? LMFAO |
I saw a stat on the Star that said the Royals are 17-5 when they score 4 or more runs. Just another telling stat about how awful the offense has been. All they need is just 1 or 2 guys to get hot or find a power stroke and they can't even manage that. Unreal how we have so many lightweight hitters.
