Yes, we're still going to finish in the top half of the league and make the tournament, but we lost our chance to win the Big 12 title, and that sucks. |
This was all my fault. I changed my Mizzou wallpaper earlier this week and jinxed us.

Conference title shot is gone now and realistically, there's probably not a great chance at a #1 seed either (would have to win all but the KS road game and then probably win the tourny). Even a 2 seed becomes a long-shot with that kind of garbage loss. This was a pretty inexcusable loss. Nash was hot but these guys just didn't look interested in playing defense last night. Cold shooting happens, but they could have still won that game had they simply put forth some defensive intensity. Pretty obvious let-down game and it stings quite a bit. |
Surprised to see so many MU fans throwing in the towel.
MU is NOT out of the race for the conference title by any means. KU still has to go to ISU, BU, KSU, and MU. MU has already gone to those places and went 2-1 doing so. Really the toughest games MU has left are at Texas and at KU. This is still a tight race. |

Not to pump sunshine up your butt and be all 'hey there champ, it's going to be okay!'... it sucks to not control your own destiny, and if nothing else, it makes 2/4 that much more important. |

Like I said earlier I hate the loss but if I had to choose I'll still take the Baylor road victory in exchange. |

From the NCAA Book
4.44.5 SITUATION B: A1 dives for a loose ball and slides after gaining control. A1 is in a position either on his/her back or stomach. What can A1 do without violating? RULING: A1 may pass, shoot, start a dribble or call a time-out. Once A1 has the ball and is no longer sliding, he/she may not roll over. If flat on his/her back, A1 may sit up without violating. Any attempt to get to the feet is traveling unless A1 is dribbling. It is also traveling if A1 puts the ball on the floor, then rises and is first to touch the ball. (4-44-5b). I don't remember the particular play you are talking about last night but if a player with control of the ball would fall and go sliding, then yes that is a travel. If there is a loose ball and they run and dive on it gaining possession they can slide as far as they want without the above violations. |

Me too. KU has some tough tough road games ahead that MU has already played. Maybe if KU had played most of their tough road games alread I'd be a little more optimistic about it. |
